Share Your Fasting Experience So Far

Many of you have now begun on the journey with us on this 30-Day Fast for Spiritual Renewal. It's exciting already to see so many believers committing themselves to renewal and revival. This will prove to be a time of refreshment as well as revelation. God will and perhaps already has revealed some things to us about ourselves as we've begun to sanctify ourselves through prayer and fasting. For some of us we've learned that we're much weaker than we thought, but God is much stronger. For some of us we've learned that we can do things through God's strength that we could never do on our own.

Some of us have experienced God granting us a new found peace, gentleness, meekness, and humility that we haven't experienced in a long time. I know I have! What's been your experience so far? Share it by clicking on the comment link below. You never know who will be encouraged by your experience.

Sunday's message to teach, study & preach the word is exactly what every christian should be striving to do. Instructions to fast has surely pushed me closer towards studying the word more, because when you're smelling good food throughout the workplace & your stomach is rumbling & grumbling.
Praying and seeking comfort is what I gravitated to.

I decided to fast 6am to 6pm. I woke up @ 5:40am yesterday and ate a half of a PB&J sandwich, today same time but had a chicken corndog. When you have joy & God's word to stand on, just water (everlasting water) is enough to hold you for 12 hours.

The last couple of months had been challenging for me. Just last week, my 15 year old cousin called on myself & 3 other family members to fast for 3 days focusing on "Healing for our Family" the first day we fasted from 5pm to 7pm, then the next 2 days 5pm to 10 pm ending each night with the scriptures for that day followed by group prayer.
Sacrificing & focusing on God & his capabilities to heal & restore us was an amazing experience. I know that God is using Pastor Davis & PCC as a vessel to build us up, thanks! It's now 6:42, so I'm headed to the kitchen lol!

Soooo, I'm feeling that eating a plate of pasta @ 5:45 was a bad idea......yawn, so sleepy now...sigh. Bout to read The Book of James online. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

There's actually 6 Crowns to be received or is it 5? Crown of Glory, Crown of Righteousness.... Please do help me out
